Camco Quick Turn Permanent Water Heater Bypass Kit

Reduce wasted RV antifreeze during winterization by routing the plumbing around the water-heater tank. The Camco Quick Turn Permanent Water Heater Bypass Kit combines a brass backflow preventer with a full shutoff valve so the heater can be isolated with a single control once the kit is installed.

Why bypass the water heater

Before ordering

Inspect the RV’s plumbing layout and measure the water-heater connections and available clearance. Confirm the required thread size, hose routing, valve orientation, and compatibility with the existing check valve or bypass arrangement. Some RVs already include a factory bypass system and may not need this kit.

Installation note

Depressurize the water system, disconnect shore water and the pump, allow hot water to cool, and drain the heater before installation. Restore valves to their normal operating positions and thoroughly flush the potable-water system before use after winter storage.
